Family and friends
Fostering a supportive ecosystem where families and friends are an integral part of the journey.
A Community of Support
With the client’s agreement we actively encourage family, friends and representatives to be as involved as possible both in the lives of clients and in the day to day running of their home.
Your Visit Matters
Visiting Rooms
Clients can either entertain visitors in shared visiting rooms or in the privacy of their own room.
Flexible Visits
Visitors are welcome at any reasonable time of the day or evening and can join in with activities, have a meal, swim in the pool or just enjoy spending time with their friend or relative.
Support & Connection
We will support clients who find it difficult to maintain contact or visit family and friends. Staff are available to help with phone calls, letters and emails, or to accompany clients during visits and to provide transport if necessary.
newspaper Staying Informed
At Essex Care Consortium we value the opinions and input from friends and family and we place considerable emphasis on keeping in touch with them. We have a regular newsletter that is sent to parents, relatives and other professional bodies.
event Annual Events
Various events are also held throughout the year to which clients' family, friends and representatives are invited. These include BBQ's, sports day, open days, parties etc.
Collaborative Care
At the invitation of the client, friends and relatives are encouraged to attend appointments, yearly reviews and to participate in the process of care planning and quality assurance.
